The following rules, guidelines and policies are for the protection, safety and benefit for all our members and guest. Your full cooperation is expected. Parents please caution and advise your children to observe all rules, guidelines, posted signage and all instructions from lifeguards and pool staff.

🏊‍♂️ General Rules & Policies

  • Please treat fellow members, guest and all staff with patience, decency, respect and kindness.
  • Pool managers, pool staff and lifeguards have the authority to enforce all rules and policies and the authority to remove any person from the property who interferes with the safe, healthy and peaceful enjoyment of the pool facilities. Please review pool rules and policies with your children and all guests.
  • All members and their guest/s over the age of (1) must sign in at the front desk. A guest fee for all guest above age (1) must be paid prior to a guest/s being admitted.
  • Children under the age of (8) must be accompanied by a responsible person (14) years or older while inside the pool area.
  • No pets are allowed in the building or pool areas.
  • No one is allowed in any swimming pool unless pools are officially open and a lifeguard is on duty.
  • Entry to the pool area must be made through the locker rooms. All swimmers must take a shower prior to entering the water. Sun bathers should shower before entering the water.
  • Children under the age of two (2) and those not fully toilet trained are not permitted in the main pool no exceptions.
  • Montgomery County Health Code requires that children not fully toilet trained must wear rubber/ vinyl pants (a separate and distinct article of clothing) over a clean tightly fitted disposable swim diaper.
  • Personal floatation devices of any kind are not permitted in the main pool. Approved water safety aides type 3, coast guard approved, labeled and designed to provide vertical support are permitted in the middle and wading pools only. Users must be accompanied by an adult in the water and within arms reach of the swimmer at all times.
  • Kick boards are to be used only to assist the swimmer with their swimming activity or lessons and not for general play.
  • All children age six (6) and under must have a responsible person in the water with them and within arms reach at all times.
  • The main and middle pools will be closed and cleared for a fifteen (15) minute safety break during each hour of operation for all swimmers under age fourteen (14). Adult lap swimming is permitted.
  • During scheduled home swim meets all pools will be closed until the conclusion of all events.
  • In the event of lightning or thunder, all pools will be closed and the deck cleared for a period of 30 minutes from the last reported event.
  • All food with the exception of water and non-alcoholic beverages, in non-glass containers must be consumed in the pavilion area only. No glass containers of any kind are allowed on any area of the concrete deck.
  • No chewing gum or tobacco products of any kind are permitted inside the pool fencing.
  • Members and guest are responsible for disposing of all trash in the appropriate containers and leaving all area’s clean and litter free.

🍽️ Food on the Deck

  • Due to health and cleanliness concerns, no food or chewing gum will be allowed on any area of the deck.
  • All food, including snacks purchased from the cafe or brought in, must be taken to the pavilion area for consumption.
  • Parents/guardians with children age appropriate for the wading pool may feed their children inside the fenced area of the wading pool.
  • Water and beverages must be in non-glass containers.
  • No glass containers of any kind are permitted on any deck surface.
  • We ask that you pick up all debris and trash and place in the appropriate containers. We appreciate and thank you for your support in helping us to enforce this policy.

🏊‍♀️ Pool Rules

  • Persons with diarrhea, open cuts or lesions or any diseases that can be communicated via water may not enter any pool, except in cases where a medical doctor certifies that their use of the pool does not create a hazard for other patrons.
  • Swimmers must wear swim suits or swim trunks when in the water. Cut offs and gym shorts are not allowed.
  • All swimmers must take a shower prior to entering the water. Sun bathers should shower before entering the water.
  • Swimmers leaving the pavilion area should rinse their feet before reentering the pool/s.
  • Running, rough play, pushing, dunking of other swimmers, acrobatics, wrestling, sitting on other swimmers shoulders, excessive splashing, diving or jumping haphazardly is not permitted.
  • Tennis balls, hard balls or any play equipment that may create a hazard or cause injury or interferes with other swimmers is not permitted. Water pistols of any size or shape are not permitted.
  • No diving in water less than 6 feet is allowed.
  • Spitting, spouting of water or blowing of nose in the pools is prohibited.
  • Inner tubes, inflated boats and rafts are allowed only at designated times and at management’s discretion.
  • Personal flotation devices of any kind are not permitted in the main pool.
  • Coast Guard approved and labeled personal flotation devices such as vests designed to provide vertical support are permitted in the middle and wading pool only and users must be accompanied by an adult in the pool, within arms reach at all times.
  • Kick boards, swim fins and non-glass face masks are to be used only to assist the swimmer with their swimming activity and not for general play.
  • No sitting or hanging on lane dividers. Stay clear of the pool ladders except when entering or exiting the pool.

🏊 Lap Swimming

  • Two (2) designated lanes for adult lap swimming only will be available if not being used for scheduled swim team activities.
  • Lap swimmers should swim counterclockwise near the lane markers. Circle swimming is the default rule for all lap lanes. Pass in the middle when more than two (2) swimmers are in a lane.
  • Lap swimmers should arrange themselves by speed in the lanes, should stop only at the turning walls and move to the side to allow others to turn and continue.

🤸 Diving Board Rules

  • Children under the age of eight (8) are not permitted on diving boards unless under the direct supervision of an adult. All divers must be able to swim to the side ladders unassisted.
  • Only one (1) person allowed at a time on the diving board/s including the ladder/s. Divers must wait until the previous diver/s have surfaced and reached the side ladder before getting on the board.
  • Divers must dive or jump straight from the front of the boards bouncing only once, except when the diver is being supervised by a member of the coaching staff.
  • Divers age 12 and under are not permitted to do inward or back flip dives unless under the direct supervision of an adult or member of the coaching staff.
  • No running on the boards. No running dives from the deck of the diving well or from the side of the pool anywhere that the water depth is less than 5 feet.
  • General swimming or play is not permitted in any part of the diving well while the diving boards are open for diving.

👶 Wading Pool Rules

  • The wading pool is for children age six (6) and under.
  • The wading pool is not guarded and all children must be under the direct care of a parent or designated guardian age (14) or older at all times.
  • Montgomery County Health Code requires that infants and children not fully toilet trained must wear a clean diaper or disposable swim diaper covered by separate rubber/vinyl pants all of which must fit snugly around the waist and legs.
  • Only Coast Guard approved and labeled personal flotation devices such as vests designed to provide vertical support are permitted.
  • Children under age six (6) and their caretaker may have food and beverages in non-glass containers inside the fenced area of the wading pool.
  • During scheduled swim meets the wading pool will be closed until the conclusion of the swim event.
  • Members and guest are responsible for disposing of all trash in the appropriate containers and leaving all areas clean and litter free.

🌊 Middle Pool Rules

  • The middle pool is for children age eight (8) and under.
  • Montgomery County Health Code requires that infants/children not fully toilet trained must wear a clean diaper or disposable swim diaper covered by separate rubber/vinyl pants all of which must fit snugly around the waist and legs.
  • Coast Guard approved and labeled personal flotation devices such as vests designed to provide vertical support are allowed for use in the middle pool providing the child is under the direct supervision of a responsible person who is within arms reach at all times.
  • No diving or jumping into the water allowed.
  • Kick boards are to be used only to assist the swimmer with their swimming activity or lessons and not for general play.
  • No squirt guns or devices of any type are permitted.
  • During swim meets the middle pool will be closed until the conclusion of the swim meet.
  • Members and guest are responsible for disposing of all trash in the appropriate container and leaving the area clean and litter free.

⚠️ Weather & Emergencies

  • In case of thunder or lightning, the pool will close immediately and will reopen 30 minutes after the last occurrence.
  • Follow all lifeguard and staff instructions for everyone’s safety.

🚫 Unauthorized Entry

  • Unauthorized entry/use of pools outside of the scheduled open times will be considered as trespassing and a flagrant violation of the rules and shall result in either suspension or termination of the household membership.
  • Any non-member caught trespassing will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
